Some history and background on GivenchyHubert de Givenchy was born in Beauvais, France in 1927. A turning point in Givenchy’s life was in 1953 when the young designer met Audrey Hepburn. This began a forty year friendship, and from this time, the actress became the collection’s ambassador.
In 1973 Givenchy explored a new route in his line of Gentlemen Givenchy. The brand also expanded internationally to many countries, including the Far East and the United States.
